8/7/2017 Fine Arts Center Reception
The reception for artists at the Fine Arts Center was lovely! Many thanks to all of my family and friends that made it out on that rainy evening. There about 60-70 works , all types of media. It was a fascinating display and the food was outstanding! I really enjoyed talking with the artists. So many were new to me. As you can see my painting inspired by my gorgeous model, Ruby, is the bottom one on this pedestal.
Please join me Friday August 4th at 5:00 at TASTE, the Fine Arts Center restaurant, for a reception and preview of the artworks for the FAC Gala.
"The Offering" will be in the Fine Arts Center Gala Exhibition opening on Friday, August 4, 2017 in Taste (the restaurant) during First Friday activities. The exhibition will be on view for three weeks leading up to Gala on Saturday, August 26th. My model for this painting is a lovely young woman from north central China. This painting is not my usual pastel, it is a special type of acrylic that dries more slowly than typical acrylics, making them much more like oils.
"Liberty", "Just One More Cup" and "Chrysalis" were chosen to be in the 3rd Regional Pikes Peak Society Exhibition 2017, August 28-October 25, 2017.
